Mauricio Pochettino insists Paris Saint-Germain already have ‘plenty of players’ amid reports linking them with a move for Paul Pogba in the summer transfer window.
Pogba, 28, has entered the final year of his current deal at Manchester United and could leave the club for free next summer if no fresh contract is agreed.
The France international previously stated his desire to face a ‘new challenge’ in his club career and has openly admitted his ‘dream’ is to one day play for Real Madrid.
However, it is French giants PSG who are currently the favourites to sign Pogba and they look to be the only side in with a real chance of signing him in the current window.
Pochettino remained coy when quizzed on Pogba’s future last week and he was once again asked about the United midfielder after PSG lost to Lille in the Trophée des Champions on Sunday.
“You see the list of the players that we have at home, we have plenty of players,” Pochettino told reporters.
“Half of the squad is at home. A few are on holiday. I think the performance was good, I am happy, and I don’t want to talk about names of players who are in other clubs.”
