Kylian Mbappe has informed Paris Saint-Germain coach Mauricio Pochettino that he has no plans of renewing his current deal which expires next summer.
Upon the French forward’s return from his holidays, he underwent his medical examinations before meeting with the Argentine where he let him know that his stance on his future hasn’t changed.
Mbappe has, however, made it clear that he is not going to force an exit due to his respect for the club, but has no plans of staying beyond the summer of 2022.
Pochettino is known for maintaining excellent relationships with all his players, as was particularly seen at Tottenham, with the likes of Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane.
Mbappe has returned to work and despite the fact that the Qatari owners have given him everything from a financial standpoint, his intention is set on joining a European powerhouse to compete for the Champions League.
Real Madrid waiting in the wings
Real Madrid are still waiting for that ideal moment to begin negotiations with the player, much like they did with David Alaba.
Florentino Perez maintains a strong relationship with Nasser Al-Khelaifi and doesn’t want to rupture those ties.
The Real Madrid president knows that the situation is currently in his favour, and will choose the right time to make his move for the French star.
