Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has already warned his players that Harry Kane could win the North London Derby “at any moment” as the two sides prepare to face off.
The teams come together in the latest instalment of the North London Derby on Sunday at the Emirates Stadium with each attempting to kick their respective seasons into life.
One man who is sure to have a say on proceedings is Tottenham frontman Harry Kane, who is the leading goalscorer in this particular fixture with 11 strikes. He has only scored more goals throughout his career against Leicester City and West Ham United.
Speaking in a press conference, the Spaniard said: “Well, I suffered both ways as a player and as a manager. I think English football should be so proud to have someone with his talent, with his quality and as well with consistency.
“I think what he’s [Kane] been able to do over the years in that position in this league, it’s incredible. And the national team has someone that hanging into him.
“It gives you just the opportunity to compete against any team because you know that he can win you the game in any moment, and that’s a big word in football.”
It goes without saying that Kane will certainly be looking to have his impact on the game once more amid his impressive record in the fixture.
As a matter of fact, the 28-year-old has scored on two of his last three outings at the Emirates Stadium, having failed to net last season as the Gunners came from behind to win, with Martin Odegaard and Alexandre Lacazette scoring after Erik Lamela’s spectacular effort.
Kane has three goals so far this season, but has failed to find the net in the Premier League.
