Kenya Morans will hit the courts gainst Cote d’Ivoire in a Group ‘C’ encounter.
Tunisia face Guinea in the festival’s first meeting that at 11.30 am. Egypt will then take on the Central Africa Republic in Group ‘B’.
The opening ceremony starts in the afternoon and will be followed by two more Group ‘A’ matches pitting hosts Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
The last game of the day will see eleven-time champions Angola confront Cape Verde. The matches will be played at the Kigali Arena.
Apart from Cote d’Ivoire, Morans’ other fixtures are against favourites Nigeria on Friday and fast-rising Mali on Sunday.
The top five teams at the end of the two-week festival will book a ticket to the first and second window of the World Cup qualifiers that will run up to next year.
