The Greater Accra Handball Association (GAHA) has honored female Sports Journalist, Victoria Nana Adwoa Kwofie for her dedication towards the development and promotion of Handball in Ghana.

The former AP FM enthusiastic Journalist, has on several occasions attended matches of the now Ghana Gas sponsored Accra Handball League, as well as knockout matches and reported on it to media houses.

Many sports journalists have admired her love for Handball, with her consistent tweets and updates on matches and other happenings even after suffering an assault.

The President of the GAHA, Paul Kofi Yesu Dadzie together with his executives in appreciating her works, presented a Citation to her during the Champion of Champions (between Police vs Airforce & Prisons vs Police) which climaxed the 2019 season at the Burma Camp Court on Wednesday, December 4.

Speaking to the media the 28-year old pledged to do more in her capacity.

“I nearly gave up on handball and GAHA as a whole when I was assaulted at Burma Camp during a match between Police versus Airforce last year. I have Handball at heart and will do everything in my own small way to help promote the game locally to the internationally level. I will continue to use my twitter handle (Nana Adwoa Kwofie) and other media platforms to promote the game. I will also like to thank Prince Annang, Nicholas and Davis for their support.”

“My followers and Handball lovers should expect something exciting, entertaining and bigger from me next season.” She added.

Nana Adwoa Kwofie who has been following Handball for the past 4 years in her 7 years of Broadcast Journalism career is currently freelancing and helping the Sports team at Lapaz FM (Public Multimedia Group).

Gala Champions Police female team, and Knockout Champions Prisons male team were the Champion of Champions after winning their respective matches.
