Optimistic young forward, Milot Abena Pokuaa reckons Hasaacas Ladies can win the special competition despite having a false start.
Three-time winners of the National Women’s League, Hasaacas Ladies suffered a setback in the opening stages of the special competition but wrestled back to qualify from Group C.
Pokua, who doubles as a forward for the Black Maidens believes her side is capable of claiming the ultimate prize especially with Hasaacas having a full complement of players available.
Speaking to NBSportslive, Pokua said:
“Yes, we can win the trophy because the reason why we had a false start was because we didn’t have the full complement of the team which affected our cohesion and team play.”
Despite progressing with the least number of points (8) from the group stages, the giants from the West will be a force to reckon with in the next round of the special competition.
