Captain and club top scorer Perpetual Agyekum was on the score sheet as Hasaacas defeated Sea Lions 1-0 on match day five of the special competition.

The defender turned midfielder argued determination was the chief reason behind Hasaacas’ first win in what has been an underwhelming campaign for Hasmal.

The three-time National Women’s League champions have struggled to impose their dominance in women’s football in the ongoing special competition organised by the Normalisation Committee.

Skipper of the side, Perpetual Agyekum, led by example as she scored the only goal to give the Western giants their first victory of the competition.

In an interview with NB Sports, the skipper said,

“We had the determination to claim the 3 maximum points because our attitude St training had a telling effect on our previous games.

“So we were really determined to make amends for our poor show in the previous matches.”

Perpetual’s solitary strike increases her tally to four goals in as many games played in the ongoing Normalization Committee Women Special Competition
