The battle for bragging rights between regional rivals Fabulous Ladies and Ashtown Ladies ended up in a scoreless stalemate. The cliffhanger between the two local rivals failed to live up to its high expectation as both teams failed to find the back of the net.
Referee Joyce. O. Appiah was in the middle of the park to ensure sanity between the two rivals, as she was ably assisted by Gloria Akwando and Mary Darkwa whiles Dorcas Kwakye was the fourth and final referee for the opening fixture of Group A.
Next up for Ashtown Ladies is a home game against Supreme Ladies whereas Fabulous Ladies play Kumasi Sports Academy.
The goal-shy fixture means both teams have a solitary point in Group A.
