Head coach of Police Ladies, Felix Attuquaye has implored the Inspector General of Police to come to their aid in terms of recruiting players.
The security service team walked away with the three maximum points at the Teshie MATS park, where they won narrowly against Halifax Ladies.
Despite this result coach Attuquaye was not pleased with the performance of her team, bemoaning the aging nature of his squad.
Thus, calling on the IGP to assist in drafting in younger and ‘hungrier’ players to augment his squad.
Speaking to NB Sports after their win against Halifax Ladies, coach Attuquaye said:
“I will want to plead with the Inspector General of Police to come to our aid in terms of recruitment.
“If you take a closer look at our team it is aging, if not aged, and some of our players have given birth. Hence, we will need young and fresh faces to be injected into the team.”
Despite bemoaning the aging legs of his squad, the experienced gaffer has also set lofty ambitions for himself and the team.
“Our target is to claim the ultimate prize. The target set for Police Ladies goes beyond our next game, our eyes are fixed on the trophy at stake.”
Next up for Police Ladies is a mid week clash with fellow security service team, Immigration Ladies.
