Gifty Appiah, player of eliminated security service team Immigration Ladies, iterated her side’s readiness to bow out of the special competition with their pride intact against Halifax Ladies.

The striker, who served on the National Teams ad-hoc committee set up by the Normalization Committee featured in her side’s embarrassing 3-0 loss against Police Ladies which confirmed their elimination from the special competition.

However, the disappointed forward wants her side to fight for pride against already qualified, Halifax Ladies.

“Nobody approaches a game with a defeatist mindset. You go in with a game plan and that’s why we have the technical team.

“I’m sure, they have a plan for the game. As players we want to redeem ourselves from losing to Halifax Ladies in our previous game.

“So we are not going to Halifax Ladies for the sake of it, we are going there for a purpose.”

Immigration Ladies will be playing their final game against Halifax Ladies on Wednesday to wrap up what has being an underwhelming campaign for the officers.
