Super Falcons goalkeeper Tochukwu Oluehi has joined Spanish Reto Iberdola club Pozoalbense on a one-year deal.
This was after the 33-year-old ended her six-year stay at Nigerian Women’s Premier League side Rivers Angels.
Oluehi had previously played in the Belarusian league with Bobruichanka Bobruisk,where she made her Uefa Champions League debut in 2013.
She also had a stint at Norwegian side, Toppserien club Medkila in 2016.
Oluehi will join another Super Falcons star, Evelyn Nwabuoku, who teamed up with Pozoalbense in June.
The club announced her signing on their website describing her as an experienced goalkeeper, who transmits confidence.
“It is a complete guarantee of safety under the sticks, thanks to its placement, know-how and experience,” a statement on the club’s website read.
”She has enormous cold blood at decisive moments. He transmits a lot of confidence to the defence as he is a very safe goalkeeper in almost all his interventions.
”She has a lot of personalities and does not hesitate at the exits. She holds up well against one-on-one moves and has leadership skills.
”She hardly ever gets complicated. Her winning mentality will make her one of the best goalkeepers in the category.
”She is always attentive to the movements of the opponents because she has a great intuition to read the plays.”
Pozoalbense currently play in the Spanish Women League Second Division Reto Iberdrola, they are eyeing promotion to the Primera Iberdrola, which is the First Division.
Oluehi played a vital role to help the Super Falcons to the 2018 AWCON in Ghana, with a heroine performance in the penalty shootout by saving three spot kicks.
She has joined the likes of Asisat Oshoala, Chidinma Okeke, Toni Payne, Rita Chikwelu, Peace Efih and Evelyn Nwabuoku in the Primera Iberdrola in Spain.
