The management of Nigeria Women Premier League side, Osun Babes FC has announced Monday, the 2nd of December 2019 as resumption date for the 2019/2020 NWPL Season.
Speaking with the NWFL media, the team manager Kehinde Johnson confirmed that the recruitment of new players will begin on the same day of resumption.
The Omoluabi Queens of Osun finish at the bottom of the group last season but looking forward to equip the team with more fortified legs before the new season begins.
The experienced women football administrator also stated that accommodation will be available for all players coming in for the trial.
“We felt we should start preparation early enough this time around. We had a very difficult season last year and hopefully we can get better result next season.
“We are optimistic and that’s why we think we owe our fans and supporters better performance next season.
“We want assure all the players coming for the open screening exercise that they will be picked based on merit and nothing more. The screening exercise will surely be free and fair and that’s one thing we are known for.” He concluded.
The screening exercise will begin on Monday, the 2nd of December and end on Thursday, the 19th of December.
The official venue is the Osogbo City Stadium, Osogbo. Players are expected to resume on Sunday the 1st of December 2019.
