The management of Bayelsa Queens football club has advised players of the club to take their safety measures seriously as the world continues to battle the coronavirus pandemic.
According to the club chairman, Robin Aprela, the advise became necessary due to index case recorded in Bayelsa state.
Aprela called on the players to take precautionary measures against the dreaded COVID-19 as well as safety precautions as directed by the Federal Ministry of Health and the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, such as hand-washing, the use of sanitizer and social distancing.
He also advise players and staff not to panic but remain hopeful to God that it would soon be a thing of the past, urging them to pray for the end of coronavirus in Nigeria and all over the world.
He thanked Bayelsa State Governor Senator Douye Diri for the effort put in place to curtail the virus in the state.
Secretary of the club Grace Alagoa also urged the players and technical crew to observe all the precautionary measures so as to stay safe.
She added that in no distant time everyone will come together again as the Corona Virus will soon be over.
