FC Robo Queens defender Habibat Akinwade is optimistic that her team has all it takes to qualify for the maiden edition of the CAF Women champions league.
The former Osun Babes player who just reunited with the Lagos landladies is confident that her team has all it takes to get to the Continental level after the new adopted the straight league format.
“Our aim, our dream is to do well in the league and probably qualify to play in the maiden edition of the CAF Women Champions league. That would be a tall dream and one is feasible for us at FC Robo Queens.” She told the media
“Playing in a straight league could be tasking, but I believe we have to take each games one at a time.
“I am glad that the leadership of the NWFL and the club owners agreed to play a straight league next season.
“Though we haven’t started training because of the effect of the deadly Corona virus pandemic, but we left the camp with a very strong mentality and belief that we can achieve something great anytime the league kicks off.
The 23 year old reunited with her former manager, Osahon Emmanuel after enjoying a short spell with Osun Babes.
