Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has given his opinion on who he believes is the most professional athlete in his squad.
The club have been running a ‘Little Devils’ series on their official website, in which young fans get the chance to interview stars of the past and present.
Young United reporters Zac and Charlie sat down with the United manager for a chat as well as to some challenges with the club legend.
The 38-year-old goalkeeper asked his boss to reveal who he thought was the club’s most professional athlete and the Norwegian almost responded with Grant’s name.
However one of the young United reporters earlier in the interview revealed that Grant’s guilty pleasure was ‘biscuits and milk in the morning’.
Solskjaer said: “If you hadn’t have told me about the biscuits he’s having in the morning I would probably say Lee Grant but he’s lost out on that one and he was a very good contender.
“There’s many top professional players here. But you know who I’m going to say… Scott McTominay.”
McTominay is not a surprising choice by the United manager, with the Scottish widely known as one of the hardest workers at United.
The 24-year-old midfielder had his best season at Old Trafford last year, scoring seven goals in 49 appearances across all competitions.
He will hope to play a vital role in the United fold this season as they look to mount more of a challenge for the Premier League title.
