The Southern Zone affair between Women’s Premier League outfits Police Ladies and Halifax Ladies ended in a 2-2 draw.
With the fixtures for the 2020 Women’s Premier League announced, both clubs took to the El Wak Stadium in Accra to test their readiness for the soon-to-start league.
It was Halifax Ladies who broke the deadlock through Constance Agyemang from the penalty spot but the security service’s team reacted well by getting themselves an equalizer from the boots of Bernice Arhinful before half time.
Black Queens player Jane Ayiyeam gave Police Ladies the lead for the first time in the game, but a well worked build-up saw Faustina Akpo leveling matters.
It proved to be the last goal of the game as both teams shared the spoils ahead of the Women’s Premier League which kick starts on the weekend of January 17-20.
