Winger William Teye Williams scored three times and Jane Ayiyem added the fourth as Police Ladies thrashed Ex-Black Queens Select side 4-1 in Late Madam Aku Beckman’s Memorial Match.
It was a fun-filled atmosphere at the Police Depot Tesano Park to cap off an honorary last respect for the late Black Queens welfare manager.
Black Maidens winger, Teye William scored the opener and the only goal in the first half in a closely contested first half. The retired players sold a great defensive game.
Teye Williams added another two goals in the second half, and Jane Ayieym of Black Queens fame added her name to the score sheet before Rebecca … grabbed the consolation for the Ex Black Queens team which starred the likes of Adjoa Bayor, Sheila Okine, and Gloria Obeng among other great players of the past.
Late Madam Aku Beckman served as the Black Queens Welfare manager between 2002/2003.
Her funeral arrangements are on the weekend of July 26, 27 and 28. On Friday, she will be buried at the Osu Cemetery after Church Service at All Saint Anglican Church, Adabraka.
