Premier League top four and relegation predictions: Mirror Football experts make 2021/22 picks – Mirror.co.uk

The start of the new Premier League season is finally upon us, with Arsenal and Brentford getting the ball rolling on Friday night.

The opening weekend includes blockbuster clashes between Manchester United and Leeds United, as well as Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City.

Every team in the division will be desparate to get off to a positive start in search of their respective aims for the campaign, which often boil down to avoiding relegation, finishing in the top half, qualifying for European football or lifting the title itself.

There was no shortage of surprises last season, with the traditional ‘Big Six’ further broken up by the likes of Leicester City and West Ham.

This means predictions are harder to make than ever – but Mirror Football’s writers have nailed their colours to the mast ahead of the new term.

Without further ado, here are their predictions for the top four in order and relegation, as well as the winners of the Championship, League One and League Two.
