Spanish Primera Iberdrola match day two kicked off this weekend featuring host of Ghanaian players. Former Ampem Darkoa Ladies and Black Queens attacking midfielder Grace Asantewaa made her debut on Saturday evening helping EDF Logrono to a valuable point in Terenefi.
UDG Terenefi Egatesa took early lead just three minutes into the game through Marìa Jose Perez Gonzalez and enjoyed the first 45 minutes leading by a goal.
The lead was quickly cancelled by Spanish born Equatorial Guinean Jade Boho five minutes in the second half of the game. Asantewaa was subbed in the game in the 75th minute to help increase the attacking option yet the two sides had to resort to a split of the spoils.
EDF Logroño occupies the second spot of the Primera Iberdrola table with (4) four points after beating Rayo Vallecano Femenino 4:1 last weekend in the opening fixture.
The next feature for the Ghana international will be at home at the Estadio Las Gaunas in a match against 8th position team, CD Tacon a team that will be known as “Real Madrid” from next season.
