Reports emerged from France on Monday evening that Paris Saint-Germain may be willing to sell Kylian Mbappe this summer due to his refusal to sign a new contract, which has opened the door for Real Madrid to sign the French forward.
Real Madrid have been tracking for years and have had him as their No.1 target this summer, yet there is curiosity as to why club president Florentino Perez is not currently in Paris trying to complete a deal for Mbappe.
“For me as a fan, it’s a failure if Mbappe doesn’t join [Real Madrid],” Roberto Gomez said on Radio MARCA.
“It would be a huge failure for Florentino Perez. Real Madrid are an economic superpower and they have never had a problem with money.
“Florentino‘s negotiating skills have never been matched by anyone else. I don’t understand why Florentino Perez is not in Paris negotiating the arrival of Mbappe.”
