Romelu Lukaku appears to have made a major decision in a bid to push through a return to Chelsea.
After seeing three bids rejected by Inter Milan, the west London outfit are readying another offer – this time in the region of €130million (£110million) – for the Belgium international as they attempt to reach an agreement.
That is according to the folks over at Goal.
Meanwhile, football.london have been told that terms have been agreed between Chelsea and Lukaku, which means all that is left is for club director Marina Granovskaia to strike a deal with the Serie A champions.
And that could happen as early as today.
As per reports in Italy, there will be a conference call involving Granovskaia to ‘close’ a deal for Lukaku.
Furthermore, journalist Alfredo Pedulla also claims that Lukaku has requested to be left out of Inter’s pre-season friendly against Parma on Sunday, which could hint that an agreement is close.
A translation of the tweet reads: “Lukaku asked and obtained not to play friendly with Parma. And he asked to be released for Chelsea.
“Today new conference call with Granovskaia to close the cash only details.”
Of course, Lukaku not featuring for Inter minimises the risk of his picking up an injury that would throw his move to Chelsea into jeopardy.
This development could be the first of a triple transfer-merry-go-round involving the Blues.

According to Di Marzio, Atalanta’s Duvan Zapata is being targeted by the Nerazzurri as a replacement for Lukaku.
However, the report states that they will only allow the Colombian to seal a £40million move to the San Siro once they’ve signed a replacement of their own.
And that so happens to be Blues striker Tammy Abraham, with the Serie A side – who can offer the 23-year-old Champions League football next season – willing to pay £40million for his services.
