Ghana National Rugby women’s team the “Ghana Eagles” have arrived from Tunisia safely with huge achievement not expected by the world.
The Eagle Women represented Ghana well in the Africa women’s 7s Competition in Tunisia last week. It was their first time in the competition.
The Eagles lost heavily to 2019 defending champions Kenya by 36-0 in their first ever match in the competition.
Lost again to Senegal in their second match by 14-17 this time in a close scoreline.
The Ghana Eagles in the 3rd match stepped up their game to win against Botswana by 12-10 before going into the game against Mauritius.
The ladies changed jiers against Mauritius were they beat them by 29-10.
Ghana played it’s last game against Zambia, a Rugby playing Nation compared to Ghana. Two players were sent off from the Ghanaian team after receiving two yellow cards in the game but managed to win against Zambia by 21-14 to win the challenge trophy.
