Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller is looking forward to reuniting with former teammate Robert Lewandowski when the Poland striker returns to the Allianz Arena with Barcelona.

Bayern Munich will host the La Liga giants on Tuesday, September 13 on matchday 2 of the UEFA Champions League and Lewandowski will be facing his former team in the encounter.

According to Sportskeeda, Muller has now revealed Sadio Mane, who joined the Bavarians from Liverpool this summer has jokingly advised him not to pass to Lewandowski during the game.

“Sadio has been joking telling me not to make a mistake and pass the ball to Lewandowski during the game. We have to play our game tomorrow and not focus too much on Lewy.”

Muller and Lewandowski forged a strong partnership while they were teammates at Bayern Munich for nine years, winning eight Bundesliga championships and a UEFA Champions League trophy together.

Bayern Munich duo set to miss Barcelona clash on Tuesday night

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich will miss the services of Kingsley Coman and Bouna Sarr for their UEFA Champions League clash with Barcelona on Tuesday night, Barca Universal reports.

Sarr has been battling with Patella problems and has not featured in Bayern Munich’s last three games while Coman will be out of action for two to three weeks after picking up a hamstring injury.

Muller tells Lewandowski to get ready for UCL clash

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Bayern Munich star Thomas Muller has fired a warning shot at his former teammates Robert Lewandowski after the UEFA Champions League draw.

The group stage draw for this season’s tournament took place in Istanbul, Turkey on Thursday, August 24.

The draw saw the Bavarians pitted against Barcelona, which means the reigning German champions will be reunited with Robert Lewandowski following his move to Nou Camp earlier this summer.
