Spain-based defender Lily Niber-Lawrence has urged the Ghana Football Association to get a TV deal for the Women’s Premier League.
The former Sekondi Hasaacas player shared her view an interview with NBSPORTS.
“Actually, for what I have experienced, I will say if they give the league exposure it will help us a lot. Getting the matches shown on TV, highlights on TV, live streaming of matches,” the UD Extremadura Femenino player said.
”StarTimes telecast most of the male match, I believe if they give us that attention and opportunity our women’s football will go far just like most African women’s leagues before talking of Europe.
“They should just give us the exposure, nationwide league, trust me we have better players in Ghana than most of the European countries.”
The Women’s Premier League was suspended after the first round of matches.
