With the 2021/22 English Premier League campaign just around the corner, a supercomputer has predicted Manchester City to retain the title they won last season, Mirror reports.

Euro 2020, as well as Copa America, have been concluded, meaning the world is now anticipating the return of leagues across the globe.

According to the SportingIndex, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester United will all be separated by just two points respectively, while Pep Guardiola’s side will claim the title.

The Citizens are already favourites to take the crown following their impending big-money move for a sensational striker during the summer transfer window.

They won the title with a 12-point margin last season despite having a slow start to the campaign.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United, who finished in the second position last year, will finish fourth according to the supercomputer prediction via Liverpool Echo.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side has already completed a £73million deal for Jadon Sancho this summer, and is said to be eager to bring in Raphael Varane and Eduardo Camavinga before the season begins.

Supercomputer rightly predicted Italy to win Euro 2020

Earlier, highlighted the predictions of a supercomputer that claimed England would lose to Italy in the final.

England eventually lost to Italy in the final which was staged at Wembley Stadium and according to Stats Perform, Italy had a staggering 39.8% chance of winning the tournament out of the four teams that made it to the semis.

England were second-favourites to win the tournament with 29.4%.

Chelsea, meanwhile, are still on the trail of Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland, up to five players could leave the Stamford Bridge club in order to raise funds for the Norwegian, Daily Star reports.
