A supercomputer has controversially predicted that Arsenal will win the Premier League title this season.

The Gunners are yet to taste Premier League glory in nearly 18 years, with their last triumph in the English top-flight coming during the 2003/04 season under former boss Arsene Wenger.

A supercomputer has now backed the Mikel Arteta-tutored side to win the domestic crown ahead of reigning champions Man City.

According to Football Web Pages’ supercomputer, Arsenal will be crowned champions with a three-point advantage over City, who are predicted to finish second.

Brighton predicted to finish third, West Ham bottom

In other outlandish predictions made by the supercomputer, Brighton look set to finish third on the log behind Man City.

Tottenham have been backed to seal a top-four finish with 82 points, a massive 20 ahead of Liverpool, who are predicted to finish fifth.

According to the prediction, Man United will have to contend with a seventh-place finish, with Chelsea tipped to come a distant 10th.

Elsewhere, West Ham United will allegedly finish bottom to get relegated, with Leicester City and Nottingham Forest joining them in the Championship.

Arsene Wenger backs Arsenal to challenge for Premier League title

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that legendary Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has backed the club to challenge for the Premier League title under the tutelage of Mikel Arteta.

Wenger, who spent more than 20 years as the Gunners’ boss, has not been back at the club since his brutal sacking in 2018.

According to The Sun, the Frenchman has also steadfastly declined to comment on the team he left behind after his exit.
