The Female Football Interest Group (FFIG) has applauded the Imo state governor, Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, on his appointment of one Nigeria’s women’s football proponents, Tessy Nwoke, as Chairman, management board of Heartland Queens FC.
The FFIG through its president, Henrietta Ukaigwe, said the choice of Nwoke for the daunting job at Heartland Queens is apt and the best thing that will be happening at the topflight side in recent time.
Ukaigwe recalls with relish the enduring and undying passion of the new Heartland Queens FC helmsman at all time for the development and growth of women football in the country and beyond.
Ukaigwe prays that God will give the Chairman, the knowledge, strength and wisdom to succeed in her daunting but well-deserved call to oversee the affairs of the team.
The Heartland Queens FC management board was inaugurated on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 by the state governor, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha inside the Sam Mbakwe Executive chambers in Owerri.
Aside Nwoke who is the chairman of the management board other members are, Uzoma Ochomma, Mrs. Henrietta Agbaere, Mrs. Ngozi Ibeatuche and Humphrey Njoku.
Nwoke has written for several media outfits and she is a well known business woman.
