The DTigress of Nigeria have qualify for the 2020 Women Olympics qualifying tournament.
The African Champions defeated Mali by 74-59 points in Semi final clash of the pre qualifiers game played in Maputo, Mozambique on Sunday.
DTigress started the game on a brighter note with a 14-11 points win in the first quarter. They extended the lead to 20- 14 points in the second quarter of the game. They dominated the third quarter which ended 25-14 points but were defeated in the last quarter of the game by 20-15 points.
Meanwhile, DTigress first opponent in the competition Mozambique came back from their 57-48 points loss to Nigeria and defeated Senegal in second semi final match on Sunday.
The hosts defeated Senegal by 59-46 points in the second semi final game after Senegal defeated Angola 53-58 points in their first match played on Saturday.
The lioness of Senegal took a one-point lead in the first quarter (10-9), Mozambique came back stronger and then dominate the debate (18-26, half-time).
After the break everything seemed to be better for the Senegalese who nibbled away at the points.
Unfortunately the loss of balls will force Senegal to stay behind after thirty minutes (32-34).
Mozambique takes a distance 36-43 (35th). Before finally winning 49-56.
Dtigress and Mozambique will represent Africa in the qualifying tournament scheduled for February 2020.
