Ghana National Women’s League side and winners of the maiden edition of the Normalization Committee’s Special Tournament have announced the transfer of their central defender Regina Antwi to Hungarian side Diósgyőri VTK Women.

Regina, 23, penned a two-year deal with the Hungarian top-flight side on Saturday, August 17, 2019. Regina joined Hasmal 2010 and helped the club to four trophies, the 2012-13, 2013-14, 2014-15 National Women’s league title and 2019 Normalization Special Competition.

She has had stints with all the various national teams, Black Maidens, Black Princesses and Black Queens. She was integral when Black Maidens won bronze at the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup in 2012 in Azerbaijan.

The most successful women’s team in Ghana announced the deal this afternoon and “quote” Everyone at Sekondi Hasaacas FC would like to wish Regina Antwi the best of luck on her move to Hungary and thank her for helping Hasmal to those four trophies.
