The Tamale base Women’s Division two club, Tamale Super Ladies Fc won the December, 2019 Women’s Unity Cup in Kumbungu after beating the Premier League side, Northern Ladies today by a goal to nil in Kumbungu.

The match was full of thrills as both clubs fought so hard to make the trophy theirs. But at the of the regulation time, it was Tamale Super Ladies who emerged victorious. Thanks to the power header by Alhassan Asana from Rashid Faiza’s free kick.

Before the final match, Bagabaga Ladies Fc defeated Kumbungu KYA Ladies by 4 0 to claim the 3rd place position.

Abdulai Salamatu Nte of Bagabaga Ladies won the golden boot award with 9 goals while Akwakwa Beatrice, Northern Ladies won the golden ball award. Meanwhile, Amenyeku Afi of the champions, Tamale Super Ladies was also adjudged the best goalkeeper of the competition, winning the golden gloves award.

The RFA Chairman, Northern Region, Alhaj Abu Hassan Rhyzo was at the closing ceremony. He did the presentation of the trophy to the winners, Tamale Super Ladies.
