The management and Technical team of the women’s lower division side, Tamale Super Ladies Fc presented the Women’s Unity Cup Trophy they won in Kumbungu last month to the new CEO of the club, Mr Ganiu Abubakari in Tamale.
Present in the gathering to witness the trophy presentation were : Team’s Technical Director, Alhassan Mohammed Akanta, Head Coach of the club, Haruna Najimudeen, Northern Regional Referees Instructor, Alhassan Aliu and media.
After receiving the trophy, the CEO, Mr Ganiu Abubakari congratulated the Technical Team and the players for their success. He also expressed his joy to be welcomed as the new CEO of the club with a trophy.
He assured his colleague management of the club as well as the technical team and players that he will work extra hard with the other management members to bring more laurels to the club.
However, the CEO advised the players to take their education serious and also desist from substance abuse. Also, the CEO warned his players against lesbianism which is a serious issue in women’s football.
The Northern Regional Referees Instructor, Alhassan Aliu also educated the Technical Team and the players on some important laws of the game which the players’ body language indicated that they enjoyed the education from the experience Premier Referee.
