Skipper Comfort Mensah, a player of Blessed Ladies admitted her side’s lack of quality was the reason why they lost by a cricket scoreline yesterday.

Reigning WAFU zone B Champions, Black Queens, yesterday sent Blessed Ladies to the cleaners as they tore the lower tier side into shreds, scoring a mouthwatering 17 goals.

In an interview with NBSportslive, Comfort Mensah admitted her side lacked the quality to match the Queens.

“Their (Black Queens)  strength outweighs ours (Blessed Ladies) coupled with the fact that we just arrived on the local scene, that’s why we lost in that [embarrassing] fashion.

“To be honest, we don’t have the strength (quality) to match fitness because many of the players have not being training actively.

“I am certain if we start training, we will be able to arrest a lot of mistakes.”

Mercy Tagoe-Quarcoo and her side will kick start the second edition of the WAFU competition against Senegal on May 8.
