Forza Italian Football Editor-in-Chief Conor Clancy has told Football Fancast that Paulo Dybala is perfectly suited to Tottenham.
Spurs famously came close to signing Dybala in 2019, with the transfer collapsing on deadline day due to issues with the Argentine’s image rights.
Reports this week have suggested that Dybala could once again emerge as a target for the North Londoners after the impending arrival of Fabio Paratici in a director of football-styled role.
It has been claimed that Spurs have ‘a secret weapon’ in Paratici, who played an instrumental role in bringing Dybala from Palermo to Juventus back in 2015.
Clancy believes it would be a no-brainer for Spurs to snap up the Juve forward, insisting that he could link up well with Harry Kane.
When asked about Spurs potentially target Dybala, he said: “I feel like he’d be unstoppable with Kane because he’s not a number nine, so he’s got to be playing alongside a striker like that.
“I’d have him as a number 10, like that support striker which will give him a little bit of freedom to move.
“And I think Spurs’ squad is quite suited to that because the three that play behind Kane can move round a little bit and can accommodate for Dybala just floating round a little bit.”

For around £40m, one could make the case that it would be a no-brainer to sign Dybala. However, the fact that he has just come back from a long-term knee injury and has not had much football since his return, is a worry.
