Debutant and Woman-of-the-match winner Victoria Appiah lifted the lid on how Hasaacas Ladies were able to flog Hasports 4-0 in a friendly game played yesterday. Although Victoria failed to get her name on the score sheet she gave a superlative account of her football talent on her first outing as a player for Hasaacas.
In a post-match interview with NB Sports, Victoria Appiah said: “As we started the game, it was going on well. By God’s grace in the first half we won 2-0. We (Hasaacas Ladies) went and came back and as the game was going on, we scored another two in the second half.”
“We were playing well, possessed the ball better. By the grace of God, our striker was also good enough to score a brace, culminating in a 4-0 victory. Hasports Ladies have a strong team yet we conquered them. ”
“The coach told us to spend less time on the ball, because the opponent could snatch the ball from us which could lead to a goal.”
Another superlative form will be expected from Appiah when her side faces Lady Strikers on Saturday.
