Head coach of the female senior national team, Mercy Tagoe-Quarcoo has allayed any fear of injuries in her squad ahead of her side’s clash with eternal rivals Nigeria today at 6pm.

The two West African heavyweights will wrestle for supremacy, bragging rights and a place in the finals of the ongoing WAFU competition tonight at the Parc de Sports stadium.

Mercy Tagoe-Quarcoo’s team qualified as the second best team in Group A whereas Nigeria finished at the summit of Group B with nine points.

Speaking to NBSportslive regarding the injuries in her camp, coach Mercy Tagoe-Quarcoo said,

“There are no serious injuries. Like I have been saying, this petty knocks are there but my medical team is seriously attending to those petty injuries, so there’s no serious injury in camp.”

Her speech means Ghana will assemble the best of squads as they seek to secure back-to-back finals in the sub-regional tournament.
