Reigning AWCON winners, Nigeria, arrived in the Ivorian capital -Abidjan – yesterday and have lodged in the Grand Hotel in Le Plateau.
Both Nigeria and defending WAFU champions – the Black Queens of Ghana – have lodged in the same hotel just as they did in the previous edition.
Semi finalists in the last edition, Nigeria will want to reassert their dominance in the women’s game as they search for their first crown in the sub-regional competition.

together with Burkina Faso, Niger and emerging forces, Mali.
The competition kicks off today with Cote D’Ivoire playing Togo in the opening match today before Nigeria kick start theirs against Burkina Faso tomorrow at 3.00pm.
