Nigeria continued their hunt for another trophy, four months after their AWCON scalp with a convincing 2-0 victory over Mali in the ongoing WAFU competition.

Ahead of their ultimate group match both Mali and Nigeria were unbeaten and a win for any of the sides will clinch top spot.

Overwhelming favourites and eleven-time AWCON champions, Nigeria have been ruthless throughout the competition and revealed that to the Female Eagles of Mali at the Robert Champroux stadium.

The victory hands Nigeria top spot in Group B and per the competition’s rules they will face Ghana who placed second and Mali will take-on host Cote D’Ivoire.

All games will be played on Thursday May 16.
