WAFU gold medalist and current coach of the Black Queens, Mercy Tagoe-Quarcoo claims her side is primed for tomorrow’s clash against the Teranga Lionesses.

Reigning WAFU zone B Champions, the Black Queens of Ghana, will open their title defense against Senegal at the Robert Champroux stadium – where they lifted the maiden edition of the competition.

Ahead of the first group game, the former FIFA referee said:

“As you all know, we are seriously prepared and ready for tomorrow’s game.

She added:

“We are our own motivation. We have motivated ourselves enough and where we had our first training session yesterday is enough motivation for us [Black Queens] to go all out.”

According to the coach, the Robert Champroux stadium brought back fond memories of their title glory in 2017.

The Robert Champroux stadium will host Ghana and Senegal tomorrow at 6.30 pm whereas Cote D’Ivoire host Togo at the same venue at exactly 3.00pm on the same day.
