The recent global pandemic has brought virtually every life activity to a stand-still especially events that involves mass gathering which includes football.
Most leagues across the world have been suspended including the Women’s Premier League in Ghana as a measure of combating the highly-contagious pandemic.
In an exclusive online interview with NBSPORTS, fast rising star Abigail Tawiah Mensah, has spoken about life without.
The Halifax Ladies shot-stopper, stated that she misses the game but has been training all by herself.
“Training by oneself is not easy as compared to training as a team where you get some motivation from coaches and other team players to work hard,” she said.
Abigail stated that even though the virus is still proliferating, that shouldn’t be a good enough reason to stop training as footballers.
Her advice to fellow players is that with self encouragement and self discipline you can train hard even though there’s no one to motivate you when you get tired and that’s what keeps her going.
She added that her senior brother helps in coaching her during this period and compels her fellow footballers to do same even though it’s not easy.
Tawiah Mensah was part of the Black Queens team that took part in the Turkish Cup abd win Silver in Turkey two months ago.
