Head Coach of Halifax Ladies, Mercy Tagoe Quarcoo has shown displeasure about her team’s draw in the opening match of the Women’s Premier League.
Halifax, on Saturday, picked a point away to Sea Lions in a 1 all game at the …
Speaking to the media after the game, the gaffer for the ladies’ side was not pleased with the outcome of the game, insisting her side could have won if not being jittery at the later part of the game.
”Very disappointed, we could have won hands down but it seems the girls at the later part of the game, they were jittery, the anxiety was too much so they were just squandering the chances but I think picking a point from away is ok”
While admitting playing an open game comes with difficulties, the newly appointed head coach of the women’s senior national team the Black Queens is of the view that, to travel away to pick a point or draw a game was a good thing.
” So far so good! it seems every opening game is not easy and coming away to play and win or draw a game is not easy, at least I have a point in my basket”
Halifax Ladies will battle it out with Samira Ladies in the next encounter with coach Mercy Tagoe Quarcoo confident of a win come Sunday
