Kumasi Sports Academy Ladies FC Coach, Charles Anokye Frimpong is worried by the leakage in the team’s defence despite guarding the side to beat Supreme Ladies at the Paa Joe Park on Sunday.
KuSA Ladies are yet to keep a clean sheet this season, drawing 1-1 at Northern Ladies in the Women’s 2019/2020 Premier League opener and recording a similar result at home to Prisons Ladies before beating Supreme Ladies 3-1 at home last weekend.
Anokye Frimpong’s girls conceded first before bouncing back in all three games, and the Coach admitted at the post-match press conference on Sunday that it was not the best.
“My greatest worry is that my team always concedes first before we equalise which is not a good sign for us,” he said
The former Physical Education tutor at Prempeh College described his team as one of the best in the league, but said they needed to improve on their first-half performance.
” I can confidently say that, I have one of the best sides in the league but we need to work extremely hard on our first half which is very important”
KuSA Ladies travel to Tamale to face Pearl Pia Ladies on Wednesday and Anokye Frimpong was confident nonetheless that the win over Supreme Ladies was enough confident booster.
“This victory is going to prepare us well us for our next game against Pearl Pia Ladies in Tamale this weekend. This win will motivate us for that encounter,” he added.
