Security service’s team Police Ladies thrashed LadyStrikers 4-1 on match day one of the 2019-2020 Women’s Premier League at their newly adopted home MacDan La Town park this afternoon.
Goals from Victoria Teye-Williams, Juanita Aguadze, Deborah Afriyie and Philicity Asuako condemned LadyStrikers to a heavy loss on opening day.
A completely dominant performance from the home side saw Victoria Teye-Williams open the floodgates for the one-time winners of the Sanford FA Cup before Juanita Aguadze added the second before half time.
A golazo from Philicity Asuako worsened the plight of LadyStrikers before Deborah Afriyie added the icing on the cake as Police Ladies strolled to a comfortable win.
However, goalkeeper Nana Ama Asantewaa was denied a clean sheet when he conceded in the concluding stages of the game as Police Ladies picked their first win of the season.
